It’s very important to me to convey my excitement for the Grand Central story to visitors because it’s not only a great story, it’s also a story about the development of Midtown Manhattan. Having worked for Glamour and Elle magazines as a photo editor in Midtown for many years, I find it fascinating how the city grew from its downtown roots to the Midtown of theatre, publishing, fashion, advertising, and finance we know today. I’m a lifetime learner of New York City history, and have been privileged to have worked on exhibits at the New-York Historical Society. As a frequent patron of Penn Station, I can never get over the beauty and grandeur of its polar opposite: Grand Central.
