In celebration of Grand Central Terminal’s centennial year, MTA Metro-North Railroad, the stewards of the Terminal, have teamed up with The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) – one of the organizations credited with saving the Terminal from destruction nearly 40 years ago – for a new docent-guided tour that highlights the history, architecture and operation of the world’s biggest train terminal. The train terminal is a world famous east side New York attraction and a must-see! Today it is still a transportation hub at the heart of the city.
The 75-minute tour departs daily at 12:30 p.m. from the Terminal’s Main Concourse, and is led by MAS-trained docents. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for seniors, students, children under 10, members of the military, Metro-North riders bearing same-day ticket stubs, and MAS Members.
Tickets are available in person at the Grand Central Terminal “GCT Tours” ticket booth by the West Balcony, across track 30 or online at www.mas.org/tours. MAS’s daily public tour is offered in English.
All our docent tours are operated with Orpheo Wireless radio systems for groups
